I have been an ACE certified personal trainer since 2010 and working with my clients and seeing them succeed has been truly rewarding. So in 2014, after 16 years in corporate America as a chemist, I decided to pursue my dream of helping others achieve their fitness goals and started Realistic Fitness. Due to my love of endurance sports and coaching, I also obtained my RRCA and USAT level I coaching certifications. Finish lines change lives and I love being able to help athletes of all abilities succeed.
I have a passion for fitness and love a challenge. I grew up playing sports but was not a runner until a friend challenged me to run a half marathon in 2007. In preparation for that race, I ran my first 5k and was hooked. Since that time I have run road races of all distances including over 10 marathons and an Ultra marathon (50mi). In 2011 I took up the sport of triathlon determined to become an Ironman and that dream came true in 2012 when I crossed the finish line at Ironman Florida. I have since completed two additional 140.6 triathlons (IMLP and Challenge AC) winning first in my age group at Challenge AC.
We all have different goals; each one of them unique and important. That’s why at Realistic Fitness I believe each training program should be tailored to the individual. Whether it be to lose weight, gain strength, or run your first 5k, I will work with you to develop realistic goals and to achieve them. I believe fitness can be fun for everyone and I make it my mission to keep your workouts challenging and enjoyable. I truly believe anything is possible and I consider myself lucky to be able to help people reach their goals.
When goals are realistic, real results are achievable and more importantly, obtained.
